Manchester United approached Roma chief Monchi to become their new sporting director, however he reportedly turned them down.
According to the Daily Mail and Daily express in England, the Premier League club is searching for a figure to assist Jose Mourinho handle the stresses of the transfer market and handling players.
The favorite for the role is Paul Mitchell, presently at RB Leipzig with past experiences at Tottenham, Southampton and MK Dons.
However the first alternative had been Monchi, who turned down Manchester United as he solely recently committed to Roma.
