Mandzukic to put pen to paper in January


Mario Mandzukic will reportedly sign a replacement contract with Juventus in the New Year.

According to Tuttosport, meetings will occur ‘soon’ ahead of Mandzukic putting pen to paper in January or February.

The newspaper explains the Croatian is eyeing an improved deal, taking him from €4.5m to €7.5m until the summer of 2022, when he will be 35 years old.

The Bianconeri would prefer committing him a two-year contract, however negotiations will nevertheless start in ‘a very happy and relaxed atmosphere’.

Mandzukic has scored 42 goals and assisted  21 in 147 appearances for Juve since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2015.
